Idea Napkin No.2
1) You
I am a student at the University of Florida, a 21-year-old, who was born in New Jersey but moved to Florida for college. Some of my talents are seeing opportunities to fix problems as they arise. I am skilled in management and seeing where things could possibly go wrong. I am a creative person with a unique upbringing. I aspire to be someone who can help make the lives of others easier. I want to innovate and create solutions to problems that people do not often see. I want to one day own my own business. Regarding my business concept, I think this business would play a big role in my life because it would be something that I could gain a lot of enjoyment out of. I want to share the experience of gaming with all sorts of different people.
2) What are you offering to customers?
The service that I offer to customers provides high-quality gaming equipment and games at a low-cost. This is useful to customers that want to experience gaming but do not have the time or money to dedicate to high-quality systems.
3) Who are you offering it to?
I am offering this mainly to the young adult male demographic. This is the main market, for younger adults who are tech-savvy but do not have the money to save up for machines. The second market is older adults that are interested in experiencing gaming but do not want to commit to a large purchase.
4) Why do they care?
My customers care because they are used to being ripped off and being forced to choose one or two games. They will be able to afford this service and will not have to worry about whether or not they wasted their money. Generally, they would spend almost a hundred dollars on a game that they will not play more than a couple of times if it turns out they do not like it. If they do like the game they can choose to keep playing, but when they are renting they can also swap out the game for another and not feel like they wasted their money.
5) What are your core competencies?
The things that set me apart from everyone else is how I look at the world. That is what truly makes me unique because I have a worldview that many other people did not get to experience. Even though I have some unique qualities, the main thing is what I will be able to see that others won't be able to see. My unique view of the world is what will end up being useful for me in the business pursuits because I will be able to use it to find an opportunity. Afterward, I will use my other unique aspects, such as my management skills or my caring nature to achieve my goals.
I believe that all of these five elements fit together. They may even fit more together than in my first post because I have a stronger understanding of how my competencies fit in with the rest of my entrepreneurship. I still do not think that any of my qualities are out-of-join with each other.
As far as feedback, my last post did not receive any comments so I had nothing to base my re-write off of except that I did not look at the other post while making it and I tried to incorporate the new information that I have learned through past assignments and lectures. Even though I did not receive any feedback, I know from previous posts that my core competencies may be different from how I see them. This is because we did an assignment where we asked our friends. I have taken this into consideration when making this post. I included not only the aspects that they noticed I had, but also the ones that I believe I have.
Kelsey,
ReplyDeleteI think your post is very efficient and has all the right information down to fit the criteria. One thing I think you should have done was list something specific that distinguishes you rather than a general statement most people would say about themselves. Even though it is true and can distinguish you, it would be nice to have a specific statement about you that most people do not have.
